Subscription Terms & Auto-Renewal Policy

1. How Our Subscriptions Work
RaiseAppraisal.com operates on a recurring subscription model. When you subscribe, you authorize Malama Funding LLC (“we,” “us,” “RaiseAppraisal”) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
1.1 Available Plans

All prices are in U.S. dollars. Service is currently available only to U.S. residents.
1.2 Free Trial
New subscribers may receive a 3-day free trial of their selected plan. At the end of the 3-day trial, your selected plan will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged the first monthly (or annual) fee. You may cancel at any time during the trial to avoid being charged. We will email you a reminder 24 hours before the trial ends.
1.3 Automatic Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current rate, and your payment method will be charged automatically, unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime — see Section 3.
1.4 Annual Subscription Reminder (California ARL Compliance)
If you subscribe to an annual plan, we will email you a renewal reminder between 15 and 45 days before your annual renewal date, as required by California Business & Professions Code §17602.
2. Included ROVs and Overages
2.1 Use-It-or-Lose-It
Your monthly ROV allowance resets at the start of each new billing cycle. Unused ROVs do not roll over to the next billing period.
2.2 Overage Charges
If you exceed your monthly ROV allowance, additional ROVs are billed automatically at the per-ROV rate listed above. Overage charges are added to your next invoice.
2.3 Plan Changes
You may upgrade or downgrade between Basic and Pro at any time from your account dashboard:
- Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated for the remaining days in your billing cycle.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Your current month's allowance and overage rate continue until then.
Enterprise plan changes require contacting us directly.
3. Cancellation
3.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription anytime, with no fees and no phone calls required:
- Log into your account at raiseappraisal.com
- Go to Account Settings → Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription
- (Optional) Tell us why you're leaving — this is skippable
- Confirm cancellation
This satisfies the FTC's “Click-to-Cancel” requirement: cancellation is as easy as signup.
3.2 What Happens After You Cancel
- You retain full access through the end of your current paid period. No mid-cycle cutoff.
- Your subscription will not renew.
- You may continue to use any remaining ROVs in your current period before access ends.
- After your paid period ends, your account becomes read-only (you can download previously generated documents but cannot generate new ones).
3.3 Refund Policy
We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods or unused ROVs. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not refund the current period.
This includes:
- No refund if you cancel mid-month
- No refund for unused ROVs
- No refund based on the outcome of any ROV submission (we do not guarantee value increases — see Section 7)
We reserve the right to issue discretionary refunds in cases of billing error or service failure on our part.
3.4 Reactivation
If you cancel and later want to return, simply re-subscribe through the website. Previously generated documents remain available in your account for 90 days after access ends, after which they may be deleted per our Data Retention Schedule.
4. Failed Payments
If we cannot charge your payment method on the renewal date, we will:
- Day 0: Attempt to charge. Email you immediately if charge fails.
- Days 1–7: Stripe Smart Retries automatically attempts the charge again on an optimized schedule.
- Day 7: If all retries fail, your subscription is suspended. You will receive an email asking you to update your payment method.
- Days 8–30: Account remains suspended; you can update payment and reactivate anytime.
- After Day 30: Subscription is fully cancelled. You may re-subscribe at any time but will start a new billing cycle.
You are responsible for keeping your payment method current.
5. Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing from time to time. For existing subscribers, any price change will:
- Be communicated by email at least 30 days before taking effect
- Apply only to billing cycles that start after the change date
- Allow you to cancel before the new price applies, with no penalty
6. Sales Tax
Applicable U.S. state and local sales taxes are calculated and added at checkout based on your billing address, using Stripe Tax. Tax amounts are itemized on your invoice.
7. No Outcome Guarantee
We do not guarantee that any appraisal value will be increased, that any Reconsideration of Value (ROV) will be accepted, or that any specific outcome will result from using our service. Our service helps you prepare and present an ROV package; the appraiser, lender, and AMC make the final decision.
Time-savings claims in our marketing describe a typical user experience preparing an ROV package using our software versus preparing one manually. Actual time savings vary by user and case.
8. Disputes & Chargebacks
If you have a billing question or believe a charge is in error, please contact us at billing@raiseappraisal.com before initiating a chargeback. We typically respond within 1 business day. Most disputes are resolved without chargebacks, which can damage both parties.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
