Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated April 28, 2026
Transparency notice
Per RaiseAppraisal's privacy posture, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This means there is no underlying activity to opt out of.
Quick Summary
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
There is no “Do Not Sell or Share” toggle on this page because the underlying activity does not occur. This is the strongest possible posture under California's CPRA — you don't need to opt out of something we don't do.
What This Means in Practice
“Sale” — what California means by this
Under California Civil Code §1798.140, “sale” means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, transferring, or otherwise communicating a consumer's personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
RaiseAppraisal does not sell personal information in any of these ways. We are not paid by anyone for your data. We do not trade your data for services. We do not provide your data to data brokers.
“Sharing” — what CPRA added in 2023
CPRA added a separate “sharing” concept covering disclosure of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — i.e., using your data to target ads to you on other websites.
RaiseAppraisal does not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't run cookie-based retargeting campaigns. We don't enable advertisers to target you based on your appraisal data. We don't send your data to any ad network for behavioral targeting.
What We Do With Your Personal Information
We use your data for the following operational purposes only:
- Provide the Service to you — process your appraisal, generate documents, deliver them
- Bill you — through Stripe
- Communicate with you — about your subscription, support, and (if you opted in) marketing
- Improve the Service — using de-identified data only (after 90 days, with names/addresses/identifiers removed)
- Comply with the law — tax, audit, regulatory, law enforcement (when legally required)
The full list is in our Privacy Policy.
Sub-Processors (Operational Service Providers)
We share certain personal information with operational service providers — companies that help us run the business (hosting, payments, AI processing, email). Each is contractually required to use your data only for the services they provide to us.
This is “service provider” sharing, not the kind of “sale” or “sharing” CPRA targets. California law specifically distinguishes operational service providers from data brokers and ad networks.
The complete list of our service providers is at Sub-Processor List.
Marketing Tracking
We use a small set of analytics tools (Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization, PostHog product analytics, server-side Stripe and Meta conversion tracking).
These tools tell us things like “100 people visited the pricing page yesterday.” They do not enable cross-site behavioral advertising of your personal information. We have specifically chosen tools and configurations that minimize data sharing:
- Google Analytics 4: IP anonymization enabled
- Meta: server-side Conversions API only (no client-side pixel), Limited Data Use mode
- PostHog: product analytics only, no third-party use
See our Cookie Policy for details.
Why We've Chosen This Posture
We operate in the mortgage and appraisal industry, handling sensitive financial and property data. Two reasons we've gone strict on data sale and sharing:
- It's the right thing to do — Your appraisal data is private. We don't think it's appropriate to monetize it through advertising.
- It simplifies compliance — A “we don't sell or share” posture eliminates a whole category of CPRA compliance burden, both for us and for our customers conducting due diligence.
Your Other CCPA / CPRA Rights
Even though we have nothing to opt-out of with respect to selling/sharing, California residents have other rights you can exercise:
- Right to Know — what personal information we hold about you
- Right to Correct — inaccurate personal information
- Right to Delete — your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
- Right to Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive PI — limit our use of financial / geolocation data to what's necessary for the Service
- Right to Non-Discrimination — for exercising your rights
To exercise any of these rights, visit our DSR Intake Page.
